Kurpad教授是印度圣约翰医学院生理学系主任，也是印度营养学会前主席。他是皇家医师学会院士、印度国家医学科学院院士以及国际营养科学联合会（IUNS）院士。Kurpad教授于2017年荣获亚太临床营养学会颁发的荣誉奖章，是亚太临床营养学会杂志的副主编，发表论文超过400篇。Kurpad教授是印度政府在营养与食品安全方面的专家顾问，主要研究方向是蛋白质以及微量元素的代谢、以及孕妇营养和儿童生长发育等公共营养方向。

Anura Kurpad is Professor & Head of Physiology and Nutrition, at St John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India. He is presently the Head of the first IAEA Collaborating Centre on Nutrition, located at St John’s, and is the Past-President of the Nutrition Society of India.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), the Indian National Academy of Medical Sciences, the International Union of Nutritional Sciences, and the recipient of the Asia-Pacific Clinical Nutrition Society Award for 2017.  He has published over 400 papers, and is co-author of the Asian Adaptation of Guyton’s Textbook of Physiology and Co-Editor of the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
